About B.Com Colleges in Mumbai

Mumbai is an important centre for the availability of a number of jobs in different field. Most of the recruiting agencies are looking for the educated applicants. Selection Procedure and Entrance Test of B.Com Colleges in Mumbai

The selection procedure into B.Com course in Mumbai is purely on merit basis which is released by the colleges and universities.  The admissions are based on minimum qualification of the student. There is no central entrance examination for this course but some universities conduct the entrance examination for the same. The merit list and cut off marks vary from college to college. However, B.Com is undergraduate courses and the college cutoff for the admissions in this course is quite high in some of the colleges in Mumbai, sometimes  the cut-off of reputed colleges go as high as 100%.

Eligibility Criteria of B.Com Colleges in Mumbai

The basic eligibility for admission to any of the B.Com. programs in Mumbai  is a pass in Higher Secondary School Examination with Maths and English as core subjects with 55% of Marks from a recognized university/institution/colleges. However, different universities of Mumbai release cut offs. Cut offs largely depend on the performance of students in the 10+2 exams and the number of qualified students applying to the course. Though there is no work experience required for the course, students with work experience can also apply.The students from the science background can also apply for the course.

Fee Structure of B.Com Colleges in Mumbai

The fee structures differs from one college to the other  in Mumbai depending on the reputation and the facilities available in the respective colleges. However the average fee structure in the top colleges ranges from 5000- 20,000 INR pa. In some of the reputed colleges the fees reaches up to 70,000 INR pa.

Reservation For B.Com Colleges in Mumbai

The number of seats available for admission in B.Com course varies from college to college.  In most of the cases almost 50% of the total seats are reserved for SC, ST, PH candidates.  Some cases 25 % is meant for reserved category if the total number of seats are very less.
